The House of Smiths on My Craft Channel

After a lot of script writing, multiple trips to find enough "nice shirts" for Cason and I to wear for 8 filmed episodes, and LOTS  of nervous-ness (that we didn't know we would have) later... We've finally finished all our shows for My Craft Chanel!

Let me start off by saying that this little part of our lives was QUITE the adventure. Sitting on camera and chatting with a host from a show, or having questions thrown at me, that I have to answer, is a piece of cake! But take all that away, and make JUST me and Cason responsible for moving things along on camera, where we could pretty much do whatever we wanted???... yikes! LOL.

Oh, and speaking of working with your spouse... it's TOTALLY different, then laughing and giggling on camera with a girlfriend. I'm pretty sure that the "between the scenes" footage of us would probably have been even MORE entertaining. ha!

Some phrases that crossed our lips BETWEEN takes , while shooting:
in no particular order...

Cason: "I should pinch your butt while filming, and we'll see if anyone notices"

Me: "Why are you doing your flirty eyes at the camera while I'm talking?"

Cason: "Can't we just film in our regular attire? Basketball shorts, pj pants and a baggy t-shirt? Why do we have to wear these fancy-people clothes?"

Me: "Hun, why are you talking like that? Just talk normal"

Cason: "Shell, you don't have to smile the WHOLE time...jeesh"

Me: "Did you SERIOUSLY just say that Cason!?... Great, we'll need to edit that part out."

So... you get the idea. Some of us have been on camera before, and some of us haven't. What'evs... either way, we survived. We may have looked like deer in the headlights at some points, and sounded a bit robotic, but... we did it! lol.

Our first episode, "Meet the Smiths" is up today over at My Craft Channel!
If you want to see how/why we started our blog, then head on over there and have a watch!  Every Friday for the next couple of months My Craft Channel will be showing a new "House of Smiths" episode, so I'll make sure to post a reminder on our Facebook page, so you can see those when they air too.
:)
Thanks for checkin' us out!
Have a great weekend!
