All About that Juice Cleanse + Weight Loss Thoughts
I mentioned on Instagram a couple of weeks ago (while posting a pic of chocolate chip cookies, ha!) that I was starting a juice cleanse and was a bit worried about it. A few of you have asked since how it went, so I thought I’d share my thoughts with you. Good AND bad!
Here we go…
1. Reservations about getting started on a Juice Cleanse.
I was VERY unsure about how I’d do on a cleanse where all I did was DRINK for 3 full days. I mean… chewing and food are two of my favorite things ๐
That being said I was really looking forward to emptying out my bod of all the not-so-healthy stuff that I’d been pumping into it. I just felt bloated and gross, so that definitely helped me to commit. Another big help was the fact that a friend at work was doing the cleanse with me too. It’s WAY easier to stay on track with something when someone else is around to hold you accountable.
2. I got all of my juice from a local juicer named Dani.
If you’re in the SLC valley you can find her on Instagram under @dvinejuice. Here’s a link to a blog post she did on all of the flavors she offers.
WARNING: chugging a spicy drink WILL make you burp like a dude.

Way to go! I have been juicing for 6 months now and I am loving it. I only juice in the mornings with an empty stomach but I have not been able to do a full day out of juice only. I can tell. The difference in my body before and after juicing. I have more energy, I sleep better, my hair shinier and is not falling off that much. I don't need my coffee anymore, lost 10 pounds and the best of it my arthritis pain is significant less. My favorite is beets. Orange, carrots and ginger. For a cleanse I do celery, cucumber, apple and mint. Next time you need a partner for cleansing count on me please

Shelley,
Way to go! I once had to a do a cleanse of my kidneys…it was so hard and I missed the emotion of eating. I was never really hungry, but I missed chewing and tasting food.
With that said, I'd challenge you to look into Plexus products. I started using these about 6 months ago and am down 26 lbs (with very little exercise). These products are all natural and have so many other benefits. For example, I used to have terrible insomnia (3-4 hours sleep per night) and that is gone – in fact, I am sleeping so soundly, I am having very vivid dreams. I also used to have terrible acid reflux – gone. I've managed to keep off the weight after eating my way through New Orleans, Mississippi, and Nashville. Plexus does not replace a meal – there are several products and I drink the Plexus slim in a bottle of water 30 minutes before my lunch and 30 minutes before dinner. I take 4 BioCleanse capsules per day – this helps oxygenate my blood and get things moving and lastly, I take 2 ProBio before bed. The ProBio is to help clear up Candida (look that gem up). I do watch what I eat, but I also am able to eat what I want within reason. It helps curb my appetite so my portions are a lot smaller. If you get on Facebook, check out some testimonials on my friend's page which is called Your Divine Self. It really is an amazing product.
Just my two cents – you're doing a great job!

Sounds interesting, nice way to start. At least you are trying. I need to start doing something. I keep saying I need to lose weight but I don't do anything about it. I just need motivation, I'm always doing things for others and I forget about me. I love doing my scrapbooking and crafts and cleaning my house and yard, which is a little exercise ๐ Thanks for sharing, I'll have to look into that.

YES!! I have been trying to sum up my thoughts on my own weight loss and this is perfect. I also don't have time to let it consume my whole life. Calorie counting every.single.thing is so exhausting. It's about balance. You look great BTW ๐
