Whoohoo! Welcome to our first EVER linky party! Are you as excited as I am?
:)
Finding out about the January photo-a-day challenge from Fat Mum Slim was so exciting for me in 2012 because I have a goal this year to document EVERY DAY in a photo. At first it sounded completely overwhelming, but with the power of Instagram, Picframe and the My365 apps, the photo-a-day challenge has really been enjoyable, fun and easy!
It wasn't until about a week ago when I got my first set of January photo-a-day StickyGram Magnets I ordered, that I realized how MUCH I really loved having these simple, everyday memories to look back on!
This sparked my idea to find a way that everyone could share their January wrap up posts with each other, and so...the photo-a-day linky party was born!
I honestly have to say that my only motive with doing this linky party each month, (besides the fact that I LOVE getting to know people through creative, pretty photos) is that hopefully at least even a handful of people will feel inspired to take the photo-a-day challenges and post about them on their blogs.
I really feel like life passes us by too quickly, and we rarely take the appropriate amount of time to stop and appreciate some of the most important things. People we love, Meals we are blessed to have, Happy moments that make you smile, etc...
This photo challenge has really stopped me in my tracks during my busiest days and made me slow down, and think about how to capture that days photo subject in the most meaningful way possible. I believe that every picture should tell a story, and these photo-a-day topics challenge us to do just that.
So Here we go! MY roundup of January's photos!...
you can also follow us daily on Instagram under the name "houseofsmiths"

It was a VERY busy month, between traveling, kids, conferences, weight loss and blogging. It's so fun to look back over these images and remember all of it :)
Now it's YOUR turn! If you feel comfortable enough to share your photos from this past month with me (and others) go on ahead and link up below! I'd love to see YOUR take on January's topics!
If you want to spread the word about our little party, feel free! You can use either of these images here.
If not, I'm totally cool with that too :) And if you need help finding out HOW to link your photo-a-day post up, you can read more about that here.

Don't forget to start your challenge for February as well! You can find the list of photo topics from Fat Mum Slim, here. Thank you Chantelle for all your hard work in putting these challenge lists together each month! Also, while you're in link up mode, head on over to Kellie's blog, she's hosting a linky party too!
Happy photographing everyone!
