DIY Blogger House Update

I seriously can't believe how FAST time is flying! Only about 60-ish days until our parade of homes house in Daybreak has to be finished and ready for judging... Ahhh!
If you're not sure why I'm freaking out, you can read the end of this post here, to get a better idea :)
As you can see from these pictures, Bangerter Homes is moving along just as quickly over at the homes site!

I had the opportunity to meet up with my fellow DIY bloggers, designer Brian Clark and the rest of the Daybreak crew for dinner a few weekends ago, to discuss the nitty gritty about the homes interior design plan. We went over color schemes and room assignments for everyone.

Things might shift around a bit, but here are the rooms/spaces that everyone picked:
Char & Lara - 3 kids bedrooms
Amy - Laundry room and Mud Room
Me - Pantry and Dining Room
Jen - Office and Small Powder Room

I've been gathering ideas for what I'd like to have the spaces I'm in charge of turn out like. Obviously we have a specific budget for the house and each space, but I'm hoping to implement the feeling that a few of these photos lend.

Brian already has some awesome ideas up his sleeve, so I'm super excited to collaborate with him to create a really great space in this house! As of right now, we just have 2x4's and plywood...

...but in no time we'll have walls to paint and finishes to pick out, eeek I can't wait!
Stay tuned for more updates!

  2. Blogger house is really shaping up! At some point you run out of spaces in your own home to transform (or the budget to do so!), so doing another house is a dream:)

  13. That looks fantastic! Have you thought about using O'verlays? They look a lot like your inspiration pics. I used a set to dress up a pair of dressers, and they look great, and are reasonable too. They would look great of a buffet or side table.
