The Jordan Valley Home & Garden Club

Today I wanted to share a little something great with you that's happening here in Utah. The Jordan Valley Conservation Park's Home and Garden Club!

The Jordan Valley Home and Garden club was recently founded to provide lots of learning opportunities geared towards do-it-yourself homeowners, because landscaping is an important part of defining your homes overall style. Not only will the club have lots of gardening and landscape design information, but they'll also be teaching classes on home interior and exterior projects as well. There's no membership fee for the club and regularly scheduled classes officially begin on July 17th at noon. The best part about it all!?... THE CLASSES ARE FREE!

You can register online, and follow along for further information about classes by visiting the Club's website and liking their Facebook page.

To kick off this fun new venture, the Home and Garden Club will be having a Summer Soiree and Garden Tour on June 9th at 6pm. Space is limited, but tickets to the Summer Soiree are available for purchase online, while they last. I'm so excited to go, because the event is going to be featuring a few of my favorite people! Justin and Cassity Kmetzsch, from Remodelaholic; Sausha Khoundet, from Sweet Pickins and Leanne Jacobs from Organize and Decorate Everything!

In addition to some other amazing mini classes, there will also be several giveaways that night, including a gorgeous rug that was featured in Country Living Magazine, as well as furniture from Sweet Pickins and Forsey's Furniture!

I love supporting events like this that further homeowners DIY knowledge. No matter how much I think I know, I ALWAYS learn something new when attending conferences or local classes. From the newest way to refinish furniture, to learning how to best take care of a yard in this crazy Utah climate.
:)

I'm totally excited and hope to see you there!

  2. wow! This is great! I am even close, living in SLC, so would love to take advantage of this! However, won't make the open house as we are having an open house of a different kind that day - our daughter is graduating high school :) Thanks for the info though, will check out the classes!
